A Social Club for Autistic Girls In Grades 6-9
This group is designed for neurodivergent AFAB (girls & non-binary) youth in grades 6-9, identifying as autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD (both autism & ADHD). Our goal is to provide a neuro-affirming supportive social environment for individuals to connect with peers, learn skills, and have fun! We aim to:
- Engage in fun activities to stimulate growth & creativity and foster meaningful connections with like-minded individuals
- Explore neurodivergent identities through open discussion within the context of gender & social norms
- Educate participants to develop skills in areas of emotion regulation, anxiety management, goal setting, independence, and self-awareness
- Empower participants with confidence to navigate daily life by instilling insight & self-efficacy
- Elevate opportunities for authentic self-expression & unmasking in a safe space
This age group is ideal for participants in their middle-school years who are simultaneously navigating their neurodivergent identity as well as the challenging transition period of puberty.
