Dr. Holly Echlin, C.Psych. (She/Her)(Virtual Clients Only)

Dr. Holly Echlin is a registered clinical psychologist who provides virtual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults across Ontario.

She completed her doctoral training with research examining the relationship between repetitive mild traumatic brain injuries and markers of accelerated brain aging. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Echlin has trained and worked in a range of hospital, school, and community-based settings, including Toronto Western Hospital’s Tourette Syndrome Neurodevelopmental Clinic, the Hematology and Oncology program at the Hospital for Sick Children, the York University Psychology Clinic, and the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships. During her residency at the Kingston Internship Consortium, she worked across multiple programs including the Dual Diagnosis Consultation Outreach Team, Dual Diagnosis Consulting Program, Limestone District School Board, and Community Brain Injury Service.

She provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, and life transitions. Her work is grounded in a trauma- and attachment-informed framework, with particular attention to how early experiences shape emotional patterns, sense of self, and relationships over time. She has particular experience working with individuals navigating the impact of early relational trauma on self-worth, emotional safety, and patterns in close relationships.

She also works with parents who feel overwhelmed or disconnected from themselves, supporting them in reconnecting with their own needs and developing more sustainable, compassionate ways of relating to themselves and their families.

Dr. Echlin practices from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective and has experience supporting neurodivergent individuals in understanding their needs, navigating burnout, and developing self-compassion.

She takes an integrative, client-centred approach, drawing from approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). She tailors treatment to each individual, balancing deeper insight-oriented work with practical strategies to support meaningful and sustainable change.

Through a collaborative and compassionate process, Dr. Echlin supports clients in developing greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and more secure, fulfilling relationships. She strives to create a warm, attuned, and affirming virtual space where clients feel deeply understood and supported in their growth.
