Liz Cambridge, M.Sc. (She/Her)

Occupational Therapist

Liz is a registered Occupational Therapist who received her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2017. She has worked across the continuum of care from SickKids, to school care, and outpatient services at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation where she is currently employed. She has a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system and supports available which she uses to ensure families access all services available.

At the core of her practice, Liz uses a client and family centered approach to enable clients to achieve their full potential. She is known to find ways to modify traditional games to target her client’s goals (she recently turned Guess Who? Into Guess the Letter and her client thought everyone should have this new game!). She combines her creativity and evidence-based practice to ensure her sessions are fun, engaging, and meaningful for both her client and their family.

Liz has experience working with children with a wide variety of special needs as a result of brain injury, Autism, developmental delay, genetic conditions, and ADHD. She has a special interest in feeding (likely due to her own passion for food) and has taken professional development courses in the S.O.S approach to feeding and complex feeding issues to support “picky eaters”. She is trained in the Hand Assessment for Infants and the Baby Constraint induced movement (CIMT) programs to support infants at risk for cerebral palsy. She is also trained in the CO-OP approach (a learning strategy for children with motor coordination challenges such as developmental coordination disorder (DCD) and executive dysfunction). She is trained in the handwriting program, Learning Without Tears, and has a strong understanding of fine motor development.

Liz has a huge sweet tooth and would also be more than happy to talk about the best spots to get a treat on the weekend! Liz is excited to work with you and your child to help them achieve their goals!
