Megan Pittman, M.Psy. (She/Her)
Megan Pittman is a passionate and skilled mental health clinician with a Master’s degree in Psychology from ADLER Graduate Professional School and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Guelph. She has also completed a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Foundations from ADLER and continues to expand her clinical knowledge through specialized training.
With over five years of experience as a behaviour therapist, Megan has supported children and adolescents with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) across diverse settings, including homes, schools, and community programs. She has a particular interest in working with children who present with a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile, also referred to as permissive demand avoidance, and brings creativity, patience, and flexibility to her neuroaffirming work.
For the past nine summers, Megan has also supported campers requiring one-on-one care through her role on the camper relations team at a specialized summer camp. In this role, she has helped foster emotional safety, connection, and inclusion for neurodivergent children.
As part of her graduate training, Megan completed a 900-hour practicum at a child and adolescent psychology clinic in the Greater Toronto Area, where she also conducted thesis research on the psychological well-being of parents of transgender youth.
Megan uses an integrative, client-centred approach, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is also trained in the Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) program, an evidence-based, parent-based treatment model for childhood anxiety and OCD. Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, parent coaching, and emotion regulation. She is deeply committed to neuroaffirming and strengths-based care and strives to ensure that each child and family feels understood, supported, and empowered.
Outside of her clinical work, Megan enjoys outdoor adventures, spending time with her dogs, and planning her tropical dream wedding in Maui. She is dedicated to creating a safe, collaborative space for children, youth, and families to grow, heal, and thrive. She looks forward to the opportunity to work together.
