Megan Purcell, B.A.Sc., M.Psy. Candidate (She/Her)

Megan is currently pursuing a Master of Psychology degree at Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto, with the goal of becoming a Psychological Associate. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Behaviour from McMaster University and has worked in mental health since graduating. Megan completed her 900-hour Master’s level practicum here at Flourish, and is thrilled to be continuing at Flourish as a clinician.

In her clinical work, Megan takes a compassionate, strengths-based, neuro-diverse affirming approach and leads with empathy, with the goal of fostering an environment where her clients feel seen, understood, and empowered. She provides therapy to children, adolescents and adults, drawing from several evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including ACT and CBT, to meet the unique needs of each client. Megan’s area of focus includes anxiety disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She also provides parent coaching.

In her spare time, Megan likes to read, travel, practice yoga and Pilates, spend time with her loved ones, and do anything crafty. She adores her dog Otis, whom she considers an unofficial therapy dog due to his caring nature.
