Natalie Maccarone, M.A. (She/Her)

Natalie is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Psychometrist with a deep commitment to providing affirming, compassionate care. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, an Advanced Diploma in Behavioural Science from George Brown College, and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

Natalie offers psychotherapy to older adolescents and adults through an attachment-informed lens, using evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She works with individuals of all neurotypes, supporting them through life transitions, anxiety, depression, building self-esteem, and relationship challenges. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in respect for neurodiversity and a belief in each individual’s inherent capacity for growth and healing.

Natalie brings a wealth of experience from her work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating complex physical and mental health conditions, including autism, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and traumatic brain injuries. Her previous role as a Behavioural Support Worker allowed her to support individuals with permanent learning and physical disabilities in building fulfilling, community-integrated lives. Her practicum focused on working with autistic children as well as children living with other developmental differences, deepening her understanding of developmental and psychosocial needs across the lifespan.

As a psychometrist, Natalie is highly skilled in administering and interpreting standardized psychological assessments, including those for autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and learning disabilities. She uses both formal and informal tools to help individuals better understand their cognitive profiles, strengths, and areas of challenge, empowering them with insight and access to appropriate supports.

Natalie is passionate about creating safe, validating spaces where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, spending time with her nieces, and exploring new cuisines.
