Phillip Botzev (He/Him)
Phillip is an undergraduate student at York University pursuing a bachelor's (honours) degree in Psychology. He is passionate about supporting the well-being of children and their families by creating a welcoming and affirming space for all.
Throughout secondary school and into his undergraduate studies, Phillip participated in a Reading Buddies program, working closely with children to support their reading skills. He went into every session with the goal of building their confidence and ensuring that they felt supported, safe and free to have fun. This sparked his interest in working with kids, which is further supported by his role as an uncle and role model to two beautiful nieces.
At Flourish, Phillip aims to bring these same qualities into the clinic setting to ensure that every child feels comfortable and enthusiastic to be their authentic selves. His ultimate goal is to champion the values we hold as a clinic and to take his experience working with kids into his future career in counselling psychology.
When not at the front desk, Phillip loves experimenting with makeup, going on early-morning coffee runs while blasting his favourite songs on repeat, and most of all, shopping.
