Brain Builders Club

A strengths based learning group (Ages 8–12)

This group is designed for children ages 8–12 with diagnosed learning disabilities to support them in understanding and embracing their unique learning profiles within a strengths-based, empowering environment. Participants will explore how their brains work, develop meaningful language to describe their learning differences, and gain practical strategies to navigate challenges with confidence.

Through guided discussion, interactive activities, and skill-building exercises, group members will build coping strategies for managing frustration, strengthen self-advocacy skills, and connect with peers who share similar experiences, helping them feel understood and less alone. The overarching goal is to foster resilience, confidence, and a strong sense of identity as capable and competent learners.

The group is led by a clinician with lived experience, offering both professional expertise and personal insight to create a validating, authentic, and supportive space.
