Remi Ziskind R.S.W(they/she)
Remi (they/she) is a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist who brings warmth, curiosity, and a deeply affirming approach to their work with youth and adults. They hold a Master of Social Work from Carleton University and are currently completing an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at York University.
Remi’s practice is grounded in neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and attachment-based principles. They draw on a range of evidence-informed approaches, including CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, mindfulness self-compassion, and somatic techniques. Their clinical experience spans hospital, community health, and private practice settings, where they have supported individuals navigating anxiety, identity exploration, grief, chronic pain, and complex trauma.
A passionate advocate for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, Remi has created and facilitated queer youth programs, served as a consultant on gender-affirming care, and contributed to provincial education and outreach initiatives promoting inclusion and well-being.
Outside of work, Remi is a ceramic artist and avid cat parent - sharing their space (and sometimes their keyboard) with their mischievous feline assistant, who insists on being part of every video call.
