Nicole McAdams B.A., R.E.C.E. (She/Her)

Nicole is a dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator with more than a decade of experience supporting children and families in inclusive, therapeutic, and community-based settings. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and has built a strong career specializing in child development, behaviour support, mental health promotion, and inclusive programming for children with diverse needs.

Nicole brings extensive experience working with children and youth across educational, therapeutic, recreational, and healthcare settings. Drawing on her background in early childhood education and pediatric rehabilitation, she has developed strong skills in communication, behaviour support, emotional regulation, and relationship-building with children and families. Her experience supporting children with diverse developmental, behavioural, and medical needs provides a strong foundation for her role as a psychometrist.

Nicole is particularly interested in children’s development and individual learning styles, an interest that drew her to the field of psychometry. She is fascinated by the many ways young people process information, solve problems, and engage with the world around them, and she values the role assessment can play in helping educators, psychologists, and families develop more personalized and supportive strategies. As a psychometrist, Nicole takes a calm, playful approach, tailoring each assessment to the individual needs of the child.

Passionate about children’s mental health, sensory processing, and inclusive practice, Nicole has pursued ongoing professional development in infant mental health, self-regulation, sensory play, and American Sign Language. She is recognized for her compassionate, collaborative approach and her commitment to helping children and families feel supported, empowered, and connected.

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys running, swimming, cycling, and staying active. When she’s not on the move, she can usually be found reading, playing guitar, or spending time with her beloved cat, Pippa.
